Business Synthetics 


Business Synthetics (RTM) is an extension of the concept of business analytics which specifically relies on synthesis or integration of both strategic/structural business modelling and data science and business intelligence methods.  Descriptive or predictive analytics often use bottom-up analysis, whereas systemic relationships between aggregated variables (such as institutions) require a top-down perspective.  A Business Synthetics approach recognises that it can be beneficial to have a dual perspective – both an aggregate, top-down approach but supported by granular bottom-up data from diverse data sources, whether quantitative or qualitative, structured or unstructured.
